Are you an experienced Payroll and Accounting Specialist seeking a dynamic contract opportunity with the potential for long-term engagement? This is an immediate hire, and the minimum contract duration is for 15 months. Our client, a leader in specialized building solutions, is looking for a dedicated Payroll and Accounting Specialist to join their collaborative team in Cambridge.

The Opportunity: This position is a maternity leave cover for a minimum of 15 months, with a possibility of transitioning into a permanent role, dependent on the company's continued growth. Reporting to a Controller, you will be a vital part of the team, ensuring efficient financial and administrative operations. The role demands strong communication skills, as you will frequently interact with various internal stakeholders, including construction personnel.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage comprehensive non-union payroll processing on a weekly cycle.
  • Administer key HR functions, including benefits coordination, new employee onboarding, and Records of Employment (ROEs).
  • Provide essential support for Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) activities, with a primary focus on payroll operations.
  • Maintain clear and effective communication with all departments, particularly field teams.

Key Qualifications and Skills:

  • Demonstrated strong knowledge and hands-on experience in non-union payroll processing.
  • Experience using QuickBooks Desktop.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities, crucial for internal collaboration.
