Job summary

Perigon Group is seeking an astute, qualified (or part qualified) CA/CPA professional to join our Sydney-based team. The role covers broad accounting across the group's corporate entities and project-related financial analysis, with close collaboration to development managers.

Reporting into the Finance Manager, you will manage month-end close, GL maintenance, WIP accounting, BAS/IAS lodgement, and financial reporting to support project delivery and partner value.

Qualifications

• Astute CA/CPA with experience in property, development or construction sector.
• Tax compliance experience preferred but not essential.
• Open to candidates moving from chartered/public practice with relevant clients.

Responsibilities

• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, including journals, accruals, prepayments, and reconciliations.
• Maintain the general ledger, including property settlements across multiple entities.
• Perform bank and balance sheet reconciliations, investigating and resolving discrepancies.
• Assist with accounting and reporting of Work-in-Progress (WIP), project accruals, and project cost allocations.
• Prepare and lodge BAS, IAS, and other regulatory returns.
• Provide financial reporting and analysis to support Project Managers and the Finance team.
• Review and ensure timely Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable transactions.

My client is a property development and investment group focused on sustainable growth, strategic investment and operational excellence, the business continues to expand its portfolio while delivering long-term value for partners and communities.

Reporting into the Finance Manager this role will take part in broad accounting tasks across the group's corporate entities as well as take part in managing financials and delivery of analysis on it's development projects, with the opportunity to part with development managers;
