Accountant – Part Time

As our Accountant, you’ll manage the financial operations of Red Spice Road and smaller entities within Apples and Pears Entertainment Group. Reporting to the General Manager, you’ll provide key financial insights to help guide business decisions.

What You’ll Be Doing

  1. Own the numbers – Manage financial reporting, budgeting, and cash flow, including month-end reporting and accounts payable.
  2. Be a trusted business partner – Prepare weekly & monthly reports, providing financial insights to improve efficiency and profitability.
  3. Ensure compliance – Work with external advisors to ensure tax and regulatory requirements (BAS, FBT, etc.) are completed accurately and on time.
  4. Problem-solve on the go – Identify ways to streamline processes, reduce costs, and improve reporting.
  5. Keep operations running smoothly – From reconciliations to stock takes, you’ll ensure financial operations are seamless.

Who You Are

  1. Love the buzz of hospitality – You enjoy working in a fast-moving industry and understand the dynamics of restaurants.
  2. Hands-on and independent – You can manage end-to-end accounting functions without needing a big corporate structure.

Your Experience & Qualifications

  1. 4+ years of experience in financial or management accounting (hospitality experience a bonus!)
  2. Strong Excel skills (intermediate to advanced)
  3. Experience with Xero (preferred)
  4. CPA or CA qualification (preferred but not essential)
