Job summary

Momenta Advisors in Sydney CBD is seeking a Junior to Intermediate Accountant to join our Business Services and Tax team. You will work closely with managers and partners to deliver practical accounting and tax support.

You will handle tax returns, BAS, year‑end financial statements, bookkeeping, and advisory work while supporting client relationships and contributing to process improvements across a diverse client base. We offer training, mentorship and CA/CPA program support.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in accounting with 1+ years experience.
• Experience with Xero favourable.
• Strong MS Office skills and data literacy.
• Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and lodge Individual Tax Returns.
• Prepare Business Activity Statements (BAS).
• Prepare year-end Financial Accounts and Income Tax Returns.
• Produce business analytics (financial ratios, benchmarking, tax planning).
• Bookkeeping and Virtual CFO related tasks.
• Handle statutory compliance requirements.
• Liaise with government bodies and clients on software matters.
• Contribute to strategy, marketing and process improvements.
