Job summary

DBS Accountants & Advisors in Parramatta NSW is hiring an Accountant (General) to join a boutique CPA practice serving small businesses. You will manage client compliance across BAS, payroll, superannuation, and data entry while aligning with tax planning and advisory services.

Reporting to the Principal, you will work with a small team, uphold deadlines, and help clients maximize the value of Xero and other cloud-based tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree or higher in accounting or related discipline.
• At least three years’ experience in a public accounting practice.
• Proficiency with Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks and Employment Hero.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to work with clients and ATO.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and lodge BAS for clients, including GST and PAYG obligations.
• Process payroll and superannuation for client businesses.
• Prepare income tax returns for individuals, partnerships, trusts and companies.
• Assist with accounts payable and payment processing.
• Train clients in accounting software and liaise with ATO and stakeholders.
