Job summary

BDO Australia in Western Australia is seeking an Accountant to join our Business Services team. Working with a diverse portfolio of privately owned businesses, family groups and high-net-worth individuals, you'll contribute to the delivery of high-quality client outcomes and gain exposure to a broad range of compliance and advisory work.

Qualifications

• Experience within a Business Services or public practice accounting environment.
• CA or CPA studies underway, or the intention to commence.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• A proactive approach and willingness to learn.
• Experience using APS and/or Xero (desirable).

Responsibilities

• Preparing financial statements and income tax returns for a variety of entities.
• Assisting with BAS, FBT and other taxation compliance obligations.
• Maintaining accurate and well-documented workpapers.
• Supporting tax planning and advisory engagements.
• Assisting clients with business structuring, cash flow forecasting and general business advice.
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
• Contributing to the delivery of quality outcomes and exceptional client service.
