Job summary

Hamilton Island is seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to join our Sydney-based Financial Accounting team on a 12-month fixed-term contract, based in St Leonards. You will maintain capital projects and work-in-progress, support financial reporting, reconciliations and the general ledger.

This role offers exposure to systems administration and audit support across the business, with collaboration across Finance, IT and Real Estate.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Accounting or a related discipline.
• Working towards a CPA or CA qualification.
• Advanced Excel skills and strong communication.
• Ability to manage deadlines and diverse workloads.

Responsibilities

• Maintain capital work-in-progress and capex accounts.
• Prepare reconciliations and journal entries; assist month-end closures.
• Support financial reporting and general ledger integrity.
• Assist with systems administration and audits.
