Job summary

BuildRight Construction AU in Western Australia seeks an Accountant/Bookkeeper to join a well-established agribusiness. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced finance professional or junior accountant to build a long-term career within a supportive and growing business.

Working closely with senior finance leadership, you will play a key role in managing day-to-day financial operations across multiple entities, including AR/AP, payroll, BAS/IAS and reporting.

Qualifications

• Diploma or higher qualification in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
• Minimum three years of experience in bookkeeping, accounts or accounting.
• Strong knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable and reconciliations.
• Experience with payroll processing and Australian tax compliance.
• Understanding of IFRS and/or Australian Accounting Standards.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, lookups and pivot tables.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Experience using accounting software such as NetSuite or Reckon is advantageous.
• Experience working in a multi-entity business environment is desirable.
• CPA or CA studies will be highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Manage accounts receivable, including invoicing, payment allocation and debtor management.
• Process credits, rebates and customer claims.
• Reconcile customer accounts and intercompany transactions.
• Monitor outstanding accounts and follow up on overdue payments.
• Prepare aged receivables reports and collection forecasts.
• Assist with customer account verification and compliance requirements.
• Process payroll journals and maintain payroll records.
• Prepare and assist with BAS, IAS and PAYG reporting.
• Maintain general ledger entries, journals and fixed asset records.
• Perform month-end and year-end reconciliations.
• Assist in preparing financial reports and management reports.
• Support cashflow monitoring and forecasting.
• Maintain accurate financial records across multiple entities.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
• Collaborate with senior finance staff on reporting and financial analysis.
• Use accounting software to maintain accurate financial data.
• Participate in finance meetings and provide ad hoc reporting.
