Selective Recruitment Pty Ltd is assisting a Perth-based firm to hire an Accountant - Business Advisory in the Perth CBD. You will gain exposure to diverse clients and build client relationships from day one.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years' experience in tax and business services in public practice.
• CA or CPA completed, in progress, or willingness to start.
• Australian PR or Citizenship required.
• Proficient with Xero, XPM, MYOB and QuickBooks (or similar).
• Accurate and detail-oriented with strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare financial statements, tax returns and BAS for a diverse client portfolio.
• Bookkeeping, reconciliations and month-end accounting.
• Completing payroll tax and other compliance obligations on time.
• Liaise with clients, the ATO and other stakeholders.
• Manage your own workflow and deadlines.
• Use technology to improve efficiency and processes.

The Role

You will join a growing Business Advisory team, working closely with Seniors, Managers and Partners. You will gain exposure to a wide range of clients and industries, take ownership of your work and build strong client relationships from day one.

What you will be doing

• Preparing financial statements, tax returns and BAS for a diverse client portfolio
• Bookkeeping, reconciliations and month-end accounting

What you bring

• Australian Permanent Residency or Citizenship (this is essential)
• 2+ years' experience in tax and business services in public practice
• CA or CPA completed, in progress, or a willingness to start
• Good working knowledge of Xero, XPM, MYOB and QuickBooks or similar
• A careful, accurate approach to your work
• Strong communication skills, a positive attitude to learning and feedback, and an open-minded approach to solving problems
