Job description

Account Executive - Microsoft Partner Readiness and Influence Program - Maternity Cover

Do you thrive on bringing order to moving parts, keeping stakeholders aligned and turning plans into action?

Retail Safari is looking for a highly organised and proactive Account Executive to support the Microsoft Partner Readiness and Influence program across Australia and New Zealand.

This hands-on coordination role sits at the centre of a fast-moving retail and consumer technology environment. You will help connect strategy with execution by keeping workstreams aligned, information current, actions moving and stakeholders informed.

Who you’ll work with

Reporting to the Senior Program Operations Manager , you will work closely with Retail Safari program leadership and teams across capability, retail presence, field operations, analytics, finance and people operations. You will also coordinate with Microsoft stakeholders, retail partners, agencies, suppliers, logistics providers and delivery partners across Australia and New Zealand. Success will come from building trusted relationships while maintaining clear ownership, accurate records and consistent follow-through.

What you’ll do day to day

Drive program rhythm: Maintain workback schedules, WIP views, action logs, risk registers, decision records and delivery summaries across multiple workstreams.

Coordinate governance: Prepare clear materials and inputs for weekly operational reviews, monthly business reviews and quarterly strategic reviews.

Support readiness activity: Coordinate scheduling, logistics, communications, attendance and completion records for training, conferences, bootcamps, launches and content cascades.

Enable retail and field execution: Maintain store and coverage records, coordinate Proof of Execution, POS, fixtures and field assets, and track issues through to resolution.

Turn data into insight: Prepare accurate reports, consolidate field feedback and translate findings into concise summaries and practical recommendations.

Keep teams connected: Maintain briefs, presentations, templates, SharePoint content and communications so stakeholders can find current information quickly.

Improve how work gets done: Identify recurring admin and process gaps, recommend practical improvements and use approved Microsoft AI tools responsibly.

What success looks like

Success in this role means becoming the person others trust to keep complex activity clear, current and moving. Your reports and governance materials will be accurate and on time; actions, risks and decisions will be visible; readiness milestones will stay on track; store, field and workforce records will remain current; and stakeholders will receive clear updates before issues become surprises.

What you’ll bring

Experience in account coordination, project administration, marketing operations, field operations or a similarly fast-paced support role.

Strong organisation and confidence coordinating multiple workstreams, stakeholders, deadlines, dependencies and approvals.

Clear written and verbal communication, with the ability to prepare stakeholder-ready updates, reports, presentations and management summaries.

Sound judgement, proactive problem-solving and the confidence to raise risks, blockers or scope changes early.

Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills and confidence using PowerPoint, Teams, Word, Outlook and SharePoint.

A collaborative, adaptable style and the resilience to stay calm and effective through changing priorities and peak delivery periods.

Exposure to retail, consumer technology, channel programs, training, merchandising or field execution.

Experience with project-management, workflow, campaign-tracking or reporting platforms.

Practical experience with Microsoft Copilot or other approved AI tools, including human review and responsible data handling.

Why this role is worth your next move

Contribute to a high-profile consumer technology program with reach across Australia and New Zealand, helping turn plans into activity that shows up in market.

Build broad experience across program operations, retail execution, readiness, analytics and stakeholder management.

Join a collaborative team that values initiative, accuracy, continuous improvement and practical innovation.

Enjoy a flexible hybrid work arrangement based in Sydney, with exposure to diverse teams and meaningful in-market activity.

While this is a maternity cover contract, you will step into meaningful work from day one, with the chance to build broad program experience, strengthen stakeholder relationships and demonstrate the value you can bring beyond the contract period.

If you are ready to bring energy, structure and reliable execution to a program where no two weeks are the same, we would love to hear from you.
