Job summary

CT Labour Hire is seeking a Vehicle Accessory Fitter for full-time hours in the bayside area. You will fit accessories such as bullbars, toolboxes, canopies, trays and drawers to utes and trucks, with daily workshop support.

Strong mechanical skills and a good level of fitness are essential for climbing in, on and under vehicles. The role requires reliable transport for early start times and the ability to work in Australia without restrictions.

• Basic conversion to tray-back utility vehicles.
• Modify accessories as needed.
• Assist trades and perform workshop duties as required.

We are recruiting Vehicle Accessory Fitters in the bayside area for full time hours positions. The role involves fitting vehicle accessories such as custom bull bars, toolboxes, canopies, trays and drawers to utes and trucks, while supporting daily workshop operations. A good level of physical fitness is essential, as the work requires regularly climbing in, on and under vehicles.

What you’ll be doing

Reporting to the Supervisor, your responsibilities will include:

• Fitting of automotive accessories to 4x4 / commercial utes – bullbars, toolboxes, side steps, canopies, etc.
• Basic conversion to tray-back utility vehicles.
• Modification of accessories as needed.
• Workshop duties as directed by your supervisor including assisting trades, labouring and workshop upkeep maintenance.

About you

To be considered for this role, you will have:

• Strong automotive mechanical background;
• Confident using hand & power tools;
• Reliable vehicle as public transport may not be available for the required start times;
• Maintaining the cleanliness and orderly operation of the workshop;
• Display a high attention to detail and a positive attitude;
• Have full PPE including steel capped boots, hi-vis shirts and work pants;
• Be physically fit and capable to complete manual tasks – the role may involve manual lifting, bending, squatting and kneeling;
