Job summary

headspace Maroochydore, led by Youturn, is seeking an Access & Intake Worker to support young people aged 12–25 with initial assessments and pathways to care. You’ll engage, assess, and refer, within a multidisciplinary team to provide timely access to mental health services.

This fixed-term contract runs through to 24 February 2027. The role emphasizes compassionate, person-centred support and collaboration with families and carers.

What you'll be doing

In this role, you'll work with young people aged 12-25, engaging, assessing and supporting them to access the right care at the right time. You'll:

Desired Skills and Experience

We're looking for someone whomay be a Social Worker, Psychologist, Occupational Therapist or Mental Health Nurse who is looking for a meaningful role where you can make a tangible impact every day.

You’ll bring:

• Strong assessment, engagement and relationship-building skills.
• Knowledge of youth mental health, alcohol and other drug issues, and evidence-based interventions.
• Confidence conducting risk assessments and developing appropriate support responses.
• A collaborative approach and genuine commitment to person-centred care.
• Relevant tertiary qualifications in Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy or Mental Health Nursing.
