Job summary

The University of Sydney is seeking a data analyst to join the Academic Model team within the Division of the Academic Registrar (Curriculum and Policy) to ensure curriculum data integrity in the Sydney Student system.

You will provide specialist expertise in data analysis, system processes and quality assurance to support course and unit information management that underpins academic operations and the student experience.

Qualifications

• Experience with complex enterprise systems in data analysis, systems support or business analysis.
• Advanced SQL skills and experience performing data analysis, maintenance and quality assurance.
• Experience analyzing defects and supporting design, testing and implementation of system enhancements.

Responsibilities

• work closely with stakeholders from other areas within the Division, ICT and faculties to support Academic Model activities
• analyse system defects, data quality issues and business requirements to identify and implement effective solutions
• support the configuration, testing and validation of system changes and enhancements within Sydney Student
• maintain course, award, unit of study and diet data to ensure accuracy and compliance
• develop and execute SQL queries to support data analysis, quality assurance and data maintenance activities
• contribute to the development and implementation of quality assurance processes and procedures
