Job summary

Marist180 is seeking an Aboriginal Caseworker for the Parramatta area to provide intensive support to young people disengaged from school and involved in juvenile justice processes. You will work with families, schools and Youth Justice to implement plans and ensure safety and wellbeing.

The role emphasizes trauma-informed practice, cultural competency and strong collaboration within formal and contractual arrangements, while contributing to program reporting and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Certificate IV, Diploma, or Degree in social work, community services, or a related field focused on community development and engagement.
• Trauma-informed care and casework experience is an advantage.
• Aboriginal studies or experience with Aboriginal communities is highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Provide effective casework support and intervention for young people aged 12–18.
• Collaborate with Youth Justice stakeholders and family services as needed.
• Monitor compliance with funding requirements and assist with reporting.
