Job summary

The Aboriginal Trainee Warehousing and Logistics Officer role is based at the Port Augusta Prison, administered by the Department for Correctional Services. The position is a temporary vacancy for up to 12 months and requires active participation in a Certificate III in Supply Chain Operations during the contract.

A National Criminal History Check, a SA Driver’s Licence (or working towards it), and a flexible approach to working hours are essential. Some interstate travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Supply Chain Operations during the course of their contract.
• National Criminal History Check required.
• Current South Australian Driver’s Licence or working towards it.
• Flexible approach to working hours.
• Some interstate and intrastate travel will be required, possibly overnight absences.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a range of administration functions that support the Distribution Centre’s operations.
• Facilitate an effective delivery of service within a prison environment whilst maintaining high standards of inventory control and security.
• Response to enquiries in a timely and professional manner
• Participate and contribute actively as a member of the team.
• Contribute to the delivery and maintenance of efficient work practices and processes.
