A leading government department is seeking a dedicated Payroll Service Officer to join their highly regarded Payroll Processing team based in the heart of Brisbane CBD. The position is temporary until June 2026, with the possibility of extension.
What you'll do
- Process and validate end-to-end payroll and establishment transactions with accuracy and efficiency, ensuring all deadlines are met without compromising quality.
- Provide comprehensive business support through data entry, spreadsheet management, and word processing tasks that underpin the smooth running of payroll operations.
- Work as an integral member of a collaborative team, sharing knowledge and supporting colleagues to achieve shared goals in a positive work environment.
- Identify areas for enhancement within existing processes, actively recommending and participating in continuous improvement initiatives that benefit both the team and wider organisation.
- Develop and maintain productive working relationships with internal stakeholders, fostering trust and open communication across departments.
- Deliver consistently high-quality customer service by responding promptly to queries, resolving issues with empathy, and ensuring all interactions are handled professionally.
