Job summary

The Drunken Admiral is a fun, dynamic A La Carte dining establishment open from 5pm daily year-round. Casual positions for Waitperson and Chef/Cook require flexibility, weekend/evening availability, and the ability to work under pressure with excellent teamwork.

Proven A La Carte experience and RSA certification are preferred. Training on beer, wine, cocktails and dining service will be provided in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Proven work experience in an A La Carte dining restaurant environment.
• Minimum 6-12 months of A La Carte dining experience required.
• Ability to prepare and serve beers, wines, soft drinks and cocktails.
• Should be able to bridge (carry 3 plates at a time).
• RSA certified.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers on arrival and upon leaving.
• Show customers to their tables and explain our menu and specials.
• Advise on the best food and drink choices for each customer and answer questions.
• Take orders and use the POS system to pass orders to the kitchen team.
• Work with the kitchen team to handle dietary requirements and special requests.
• Take orders for drinks, prepare them and deliver them to tables.
• Attend to tables and provide excellent customer service.
• Check back on tables and resolve any issues.
• Maintain a clean, safe, HACCP-compliant kitchen environment.
• Assist with food preparation, cooking, and plating to high standards.
