Job summary

Rip Curl is seeking an Events & Partnerships Specialist on a fixed-term 9‑month contract based in Torquay. You will plan and deliver events across Australia and New Zealand, manage partnerships and activations, and coordinate the full delivery lifecycle from planning to wrap-up.

You will work with internal teams, external partners and community organisations to create memorable experiences and commercial value for the brand. Surf culture knowledge is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating or managing events, activations or sponsorships.
• Strong planning, timelines, run sheets and logistics.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Ability to work with partners, suppliers and internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver events and activations across Australia and New Zealand.
• Coordinate event plans, timelines, run sheets and action registers.
• Manage suppliers, venues, equipment, travel and on-site logistics.
• Collaborate with internal teams, external partners and stakeholders.
• Support on-the-ground event delivery and resolve issues as they arise.
• Grow Rip Curl’s regional partnership portfolio and identify sponsorship opportunities.
• Coordinate partnership agreements, deliverables, approvals and activations.
• Manage relationships with community and not-for-profit partners.
• Track budgets, commitments and expenditure; prepare post-event reporting.
