Job summary

The Ute Shop on the Sunshine Coast (Warana) is seeking 4WD Accessory Fitters and Auto Electricians to join our growing workshop. Qualified auto electricians or experienced accessory fitters are welcome, with roles reflecting your skills.

You’ll fit ute and 4WD accessories and electrical systems across work and touring setups. We offer half-day Fridays, no weekend work, staff discounts, a modern workshop, and opportunities to expand your skills as the business grows.

Qualifications

• Automotive electrical trade qualification required; strong installation and diagnostic skills.
• Experienced mechanics with transferable skills encouraged to apply.
• Own basic tools and reliable, detail-oriented approach.

The Ute Shop in Warana on the Sunshine Coast is looking for 4WD Accessory Fitters and Auto Electricians to join our growing workshop.

We welcome experienced accessory fitters, qualified auto electricians and experienced mechanics looking to move into 4WD accessories. Your duties will reflect your skills and experience—you don’t need to be qualified in both trades to apply.

4WD Accessory Fitter

You’ll help fit out utes and 4WDs for work, touring and everyday use. Depending on your experience, your work may include:

• Fitting bull bars, side steps, rear bars and underbody protection.
• Installing canopies, trays and other vehicle accessories.
• Fitting suspension upgrades and completing associated mechanical work.
• Installing driving lights, light bars, UHF radios and dual battery systems.
• Following manufacturer fitment instructions and checking completed work.

Previous accessory fitting experience is preferred. Experienced mechanics with transferable skills are encouraged to apply, even if you haven’t worked in a dedicated 4WD accessory workshop.

Practical experience with accessory wiring and 12V installations is highly regarded.

You’ll focus on electrical installations and fault-finding across a variety of ute and 4WD builds. Your work may include:

• Installing dual battery systems and 12V power setups.
• Wiring driving lights, light bars, UHF radios and accessories.
• Completing canopy and touring electrical fit-outs.
• Diagnosing and resolving electrical faults.
• Producing neat, secure wiring and thoroughly testing completed installations.

An automotive electrical trade qualification and strong installation and diagnostic skills are required for this position. Previous 4WD accessory experience is highly regarded.
