Job summary

Wangaratta Off Road & Mechanical – Ironman is looking for skilled Mechanical Technicians to join our growing team in Wangaratta. You’ll work on tough builds, custom fit-outs and making vehicles adventure-ready.

We’re a well-established automotive workshop specializing in servicing, upgrades, accessories and full custom 4WD builds. The role offers a permanent full-time position with potential for overtime and career growth.

Qualifications

• Qualified Automotive Technician or experienced Mechanical Technician (minimum 2 years)
• Solid mechanical and basic electrical knowledge
• Confident using hand and power tools
• Good understanding of vehicle electrical systems (or keen to learn more)
• Pride in your work and strong attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and in a team
• Positive attitude in a fast-paced workshop
• Customer-focused mindset with good communication skills
• Current driver’s licence and clean driving record

Responsibilities

• Vehicle servicing, maintenance, upgrades and modifications
• Accessory fitment including suspension, protection, lighting, electrical upgrades, performance parts and aftermarket accessories
• Diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues
• Making sure all work is completed safely, accurately and to manufacturer specs
• Working closely with the team to keep jobs moving smoothly
• Keeping your workspace clean, organised and safe
