Job description
Overview

4 days per week with children aged 4 years and 18 months. Rate: $40.30 - $43.01 (L3) per hour including Tax and Super (costs associated with Insurance & Workcover are taken care of by the Employer, who will also process your Tax and Super payments on your behalf).

Schedule
  • Monday: 7:30 am - 6:00 pm
  • Tuesday: 7:30 am - 6:00 pm
  • Wednesday: 7:30 am – 6:00 pm
  • Thursday: 7:30 am - 6:00 pm
  • Friday: 7:30 am - 6:00 pm

Flex with days (would prefer Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday) & flex with times.

About the family

This family is values-driven and diversity-inclusive, seeking an experienced and compassionate Educator to join four days per week. This role involves caring for a 17-month-old, with two of those days also including the 4-year-old. You are a nurturing and adaptable Educator who:

  • Holds a strong commitment to social justice, inclusion, and equity.
  • Is capable of responding to children’s individual interests and needs, using a flexible and child-led approach.
  • Possesses strong Auslan skills or is highly motivated to learn and develop fluency quickly. Has an up-to-date understanding of neurodiversity in children, and embraces inclusive, affirming practices.
  • Supports a healthy, safe exploration of the local community as part of everyday learning and development.

What you must have
  • Have obtained or are working towards your Certificate/Diploma in Early Childhood Education & Care OR have a Bachelor teaching degree (early years or primary) and registered with the teaching authority board of the relevant state
  • Be an experienced child care worker with at least 3 professional references.
  • Have WWCC, Police Check, CPR and Level 2 First Aid
  • Have a car & driver's licence
  • Be willing to commit for at least 12 months
  • Full working rights in Australia. (A range of visas may be considered depending on conditions and length of remaining stay - for example: visa 190 or visa 186. Applicants with 417 & 462 visas need not apply.)
