Job summary

Daifuku is hiring a Fabricator for a full-time 3rd shift. The role operates fabrication and machine shop equipment to cut, shape, and bend metal parts based on blueprints and specifications.

You will read blueprints, measure to tolerances, and set up machines with stops and guides. The job requires reading English, and certification like LOTO and crane operation is required.

Responsibilities

• Operate fabrication shop and machine shop machinery and equipment to cut, shape and bend metal plates, sheets, tubes, and structures
• Read job specifications and blueprints to determine machine adjustments and material requirements
• Set stops or guides to specified length as indicated by scale, rule, or template
• Position workpiece against stops or aligns layout marks with die or blade
• Measure workpiece dimensions to determine accuracy of machine operation
• Detect workpiece defects and machine malfunctions
• Remove burrs, sharp edges, rust, and scale from workpiece
• Perform minor machine maintenance such as oiling machines, die, or workpieces
• Comply with Daifuku’s QMS policies and procedures
• Support continuous improvement to provide leading industry performance and customer satisfaction

Position Summary

The Fabricator operates fabricating machines to create structural steel products used in industrial automation.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to

• Operating fabrication shop and machine shop machinery and equipment, such as cutoff saws, shears, rolls, brakes, presses, forming machines, spinning machines, and punches, to cut, shape, and bend metal plates, sheets, tubes, and structures
• Reading job specifications and blueprints to determine machine adjustments and material requirements
• Setting stops or guides to specified length as indicated by scale, rule, or template
• Positioning workpiece against stops or aligns layout marks with die or blade
• Measures workpiece dimensions to determine accuracy of machine operation
• Detects workpiece defects and machine malfunctions
• Removes burrs, sharp edges, rust, and scale from workpiece
• Performs minor machine maintenance such as oiling machines, die, or workpieces
• Employees are responsible for complying with all requirements of Daifuku’s QMS policies and procedures.
• Employees are to ensure sustainable process outputs that drive continuous improvement to provide leading industry performance and exceptional customer satisfaction.

Education and Experience Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• Minimum 1 year of related experience preferred
