Job summary

City West Electrical, based in Tullamarine, seeks a 3rd/4th Year Apprentice or Newly Qualified Electrician to join our team. This full‑time role is in Melbourne, working with experienced A Grade Electricians to deliver high‑quality electrical services.

You will gain practical experience across commercial maintenance in modern and older properties, traveling Melbourne-wide and performing a range of tasks from testing to AC installations and switchboard work.

Be highly organised with the ability to work to timelines and to manage multiple and competing priorities.
Standard working hours (7:00am – 3:30pm).
Must be flexible to work overtime, including afterhours shutdown works, and afterhours call‑outs when required.
Penalty rates paid for all overtime.
Strong attention to detail.
Live locally.

Responsibilities

Carry out all tasks associated with commercial maintenance in modern buildings and older properties across Melbourne.
Travel across Melbourne, working with different A Grade Electricians on varying sites.
Assist in exit and emergency testing and repairs, RCD testing, servicing/repair work.
Assist with network cabling – Cat 6, AC installations, and installation of switchboards.
Support fault finding and maintenance shutdowns (Afterhours).
Assist with ordering materials and adhering to WHS practices.
