Job summary

Supreme Fire Solutions in Sydney is seeking a motivated 2nd Year Apprentice Electrician to join our fire protection team. You’ll gain hands-on experience across detection, alarm and essential safety systems while working under qualified electricians and technicians.

You'll learn to install, service and maintain fire safety systems, read electrical drawings, and progress through your apprenticeship with strong supervision.

Qualifications

• Completed first year of electrical apprenticeship; progressing into second year.
• Enrolled in Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician.
• Valid Construction White Card.
• Basic electrical knowledge and some practical experience using tools.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety.
• Good communication and teamwork.
• Reliable, punctual and proactive approach.
• Willingness to learn and ask questions when unsure.
• Current NSW driver’s licence is highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with the installation, servicing and maintenance of fire detection and alarm systems.
• Installing cabling, conduits, cable trays and associated equipment.
• Assisting with smoke detectors, heat detectors, fire indicator panels and emergency warning systems.
• Supporting routine inspections, testing and maintenance under supervision.
• Learning to read electrical drawings, wiring diagrams and technical specifications.
• Helping identify and report equipment faults and maintenance issues.
• Maintaining tools, equipment and a safe, tidy work environment.
• Completing job documentation and progressing apprenticeship training.
• You'll be supported by experienced team members with supervision.

About the role

Working alongside qualified electricians and experienced fire protection technicians, you'll gain practical experience across a range of fire detection, alarm and associated electrical systems.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting with the installation, servicing and maintenance of fire detection and alarm systems.

About you

We're looking for someone who has a positive attitude, takes pride in their work and genuinely wants to develop their trade.

Ideally, you'll have:

• Completed your first year of an electrical apprenticeship and will be progressing into your second year.
• Current enrolment in Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician.
• A valid Construction White Card.
• Basic electrical knowledge and some practical experience using tools.
• A strong commitment to workplace safety.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
• A reliable, punctual and proactive approach.
• A willingness to learn, follow instructions and ask questions when unsure.
• A current NSW driver's licence is highly regarded.

Previous fire protection experience is an advantage, but not essential.
