Job summary

MEGT is offering an opportunity for a motivated 2nd to 4th Year Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Apprentice in Sydney. You’ll work on advanced commercial cooling systems alongside experienced technicians, gaining hands-on experience and building the skills to become a capable tradesperson.

You’ll install, service and maintain commercial HVACR systems, perform fault-finding and diagnostics. You’ll also work with customers to develop communication and technical skills.

• Mechanically minded with a genuine passion for the trade
• Curious, motivated and eager to expand your technical knowledge

This isn't your average HVACR apprenticeship.

You’ll work on advanced commercial cooling systems alongside experienced technicians, building the technical skills and confidence to become a highly capable tradesperson.

What You’ll Be Doing

No two days are the same. You’ll work alongside experienced technicians across a variety of commercial sites, gaining hands‑on experience with industry‑leading equipment while developing skills that will set you apart in the trade.

You’ll gain hands‑on experience in:

• Installing, servicing and maintaining commercial air conditioning and refrigeration systems
• Advanced fault‑finding, diagnostics and technical problem solving
• Installing cabling, wiring and power/optic systems
• Working on switchboards, grid systems and critical infrastructure
• Working directly with customers while developing your communication and technical skills.
