JMOT Plumbing and Roofing in Melbourne, VIC is seeking a motivated 2nd or 3rd year Apprentice Plumber with roofing experience to join our growing team. This full-time role offers hands-on roof plumbing exposure under experienced tradespeople.

Most work is roof-related—restorations, gutter and fascia, box gutters, ridge capping and leak repairs. You will develop broad plumbing skills while progressing toward full qualification.

Qualifications

• Currently in your 2nd or 3rd year of a recognised plumbing apprenticeship.
• Genuine interest in roof plumbing — this is where most of our work sits.
• Comfortable and safe working at heights and in varied conditions.
• A valid driver s license.
• Learns quickly and attention to detail.
• Ability to work safely and comply with all health and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Assisting qualified plumbers with roof plumbing work — roof restorations, gutter and fascia replacement, box gutter replacement, ridge capping repoint, downpipes and leak repairs
• Assisting with the installation, maintenance and repair of general plumbing systems in residential and commercial properties
• Preparing and maintaining work sites, including tool and equipment organisation
• Measuring, marking and cutting pipes and sheet metal using appropriate tools and techniques
• Fitting and assembling pipe work, fittings and fixtures according to specifications
• Testing completed installations to ensure they meet Australian Standards and regulations
• Following health and safety protocols, including safe work at heights, and maintaining a safe working environment
• Assisting with the diagnosis and resolution of roofing and plumbing faults
• Participating in ongoing training and development to enhance your skills

JMOT Plumbing and Roofing is seeking a motivated 2nd or 3rd year Apprentice Plumber with roofing experience to join our growing team in Melbourne, VIC. This is a full-time position offering an excellent opportunity to develop your skills under the guidance of experienced tradespeople.

With the bulk of our current work up on the roof — restorations, box gutter replacements, gutter and fascia, ridge capping and leak repairs — this role is essential to our operations and sets you up to progress towards becoming a well-rounded, fully qualified plumber.

Key responsibilities

Assisting qualified plumbers with roof plumbing work — roof restorations, gutter and fascia replacement, box gutter replacement, ridge capping repoint, downpipes and leak repairs

Assisting with the installation, maintenance and repair of general plumbing systems in residential and commercial properties

What we're looking for
