Job summary

Montessori Academy Childcare Centres is seeking a creative and passionate Room Leader to guide a team of experienced Educators in a dynamic Montessori setting. You will deliver a stimulating children’s program aligned with policy and the EYLF.

The role requires strong documentation, family communication, and a commitment to safety and inclusivity. A Diploma in ECE, WWCC, First Aid, and NQF knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• Min. Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or ACECQA equivalent).
• Experience as Room Leader in an early childhood setting.
• Current Working with Children Check.
• First Aid Certificate or willingness to obtain.
• Excellent understanding of the NQF.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team and with families.

Responsibilities

• Develop the Children's Program reflecting EYLF guidelines.
• Maintain a safe environment with attention to allergies and medical needs.
• Keep accurate records of accidents, incidents and medications.
• Liaise with families about day-to-day happenings.
• Maintain observations and progress records for children.

The Role

The role requires a creative and passionate Room Leader to work lead a team of experienced Educators in accordance to policy and procedures. This role is highly dynamic and creative, giving the right candidate the opportunity to deliver a truly inspiring Montessori early learning experience.

• To develop the Children's Program (reflecting Early Years Learning Framework guidelines).
• Ensure a safe environment is maintained for staff and children, with particular attention to children with anaphylaxis, allergies, asthma etc.
• To ensure that accurate records are kept in regards to accident, incident, injury, illness and medication
• To liaise with families in regards to the day to day happenings.
• To maintain observations and records of individual children's progress, particularly those identified through staff observation.

About You

• Min. Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or ACECQA equivalent)
• Experience working as a Room Leader in an early childhood setting
• Current Working with Children Check
• First Aid Certificate or willing to obtain one
• Excellent understanding and working knowledge of the NQF
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively and cooperatively in a team environment
• Strong understanding of the importance of family communications
