Job summary

Rural Enterprises Australia Pty seeks a permanent 2IC to join a large-scale broadacre cropping operation in WA’s Great Southern region. You will work closely with the owner and 1IC across the cropping program, assisting with seeding, spraying and harvest while coordinating staff and daily workloads on multiple properties.

Ideal candidates have at least two years of cropping experience, strong machinery operating skills, and a proactive, hands-on approach.

Job description

Our client is seeking a permanent 2IC to join their large-scale broadacre cropping operation in WA's Great Southern region. This role sits within an established leadership team and offers the opportunity to work directly alongside the owner and 1IC across all aspects of the cropping program. Farming approximately 13,000 hectares across owned and leased properties, the business operates a modern fleet of machinery and places a strong emphasis on efficiency, high standards and teamwork. The successful candidate will be involved in seeding, spraying, harvest operations, staff coordination and day-to-day decision making across the enterprise. For somebody looking to step beyond a machinery operator role and take on greater responsibility, this position offers genuine involvement in the operation while remaining hands-on.
