Job summary

CMI Toyota in Adelaide is inviting applications for Apprentice Technician (Mechanic) starting February 2027. You’ll train at an in-house state-of-the-art centre and gain on-the-job experience in a modern dealership workshop on West Terrace.

Daily learning from experienced leaders and a strong team culture support your growth in the trade. You’ll complete your trade, learn service and maintenance across a range of vehicles, and train to meet manufacturer and dealership standards while

Qualifications

• Completed at least Year 11 and/or Cert II in Automotive Servicing Technology.
• Good mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn more.
• High attention to detail and a can-do attitude.
• Hold a current manual and automatic drivers’ licence (essential).

Responsibilities

• Complete your trade certificate to become a light vehicle technician.
• Learn service, repair and maintenance principles for various vehicles.
• Receive training on manufacturer, customer service and CMI Toyota standards.
• Work with the workshop team to uphold quality, safety and teamwork.

About the opportunity

CMI Toyota is looking for our next group of Apprentice Technician (Mechanic) to join our iconic company starting in February 2027. This is your chance to join a well-run workshop with strong leaders, good people around you, and the opportunity to build a long-term career in the trade. You’ll receive exclusive training at our in-house state-of-the-art training centre, located at our modern dealership on West Terrace in the city, with additional on-the-job training also provided.

Your new role

As an Apprentice Technician, no two days will be the same. But here’s just some of what you’ll be doing:

• Completing your trade certificate to become a light vehicle technician
• Learning the principles of service, repair and maintenance for a variety of vehicles
• Training on manufacturer, customer service and CMI Toyota standards
• Understanding how to provide the highest level of workmanship

Most importantly, you’ll be working as part of a broader workshop team where quality, safety and teamwork matter.

About you

• Have completed at least Year 11 and/or Cert II in Automotive Servicing Technology

• Demonstrate a friendly, positive, and can-do attitude
• Have a current manual and auto drivers’ licence (essential)
