Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking a robotics-focused intern to design and test guidance, navigation, and control (GNC) solutions for autonomous systems. You will build GNC control laws in VMS software, and develop vehicle models to evaluate design trade-offs and system margins.

The role involves collaboration across teams and participation in real projects to gain practical experience before returning to your studies in 2026.

Qualifications

• Must be pursuing tertiary education in Robotics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
• Must be returning to school at the end of the internship to continue academic studies for at least one term.
• Ability to obtain and maintain an Australian Government Security Clearance.
• Ability to complete an in-person 12-week internship in summer 2026.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Use principles of control theory, applied physics, and applied mathematics to design GNC solutions for Anduril’s autonomous systems

• Build vehicle simulation models to inform design trades, assess system capabilities, and establish system margins

• Contribute to the development of new capabilities to enhance existing products or bring capabilities and technologies to market

• Collaborate across multiple teams to plan, build, and test complex functionality

• Work on real, meaningful projects and learn from experienced professionals along the way

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be pursuing tertiary education in Robotics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.

• Must be returning to school at the end of the internship to continue academic studies for at least one term.

The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations.
