TheHatch Student Vacation Program provides the opportunity to work on real projects and gain practical industry skills. We will help you through the transition, bridging the gap between your education and career.

As part of theStructuralEngineering team, you will gain exposure to Structural design engineering activities on a range of exciting projects across the resources and energy sectors. You may be involved in various phases of projects from conceptual design, and feasibility studies, through to detailed engineering.

You will be working towardsa bachelor/master’s degree in Structural/Civil Engineering, ideally in your third year (or later) of study, with a strong academic record.Candidates will haveexceptional communication and interpersonal skills and will be collaborators with the ability to think laterally and innovatively to solve problems. You will also have an interest in exploring a future with a global consulting company and are committed to creating positive change.

The 12-week program commences on Monday, 23 Nov 2026. Please note, during this time Hatch will have its annual office closure from COB Friday, 18 December 2026 and will reopen Monday, 4 January 2027.
