Hatch is offering a Vacation Student role in Process Engineering in Perth, Western Australia. The 12-week program provides real project work, mentoring, and professional development as you bridge education and a future in global consulting.

You will join the Hydrometallurgy and Pyrometallurgy team, contribute to process engineering deliverables, and collaborate with industry professionals on real client projects throughout the program.

Qualifications

The Hatch Vacation Student Program provides the opportunity to work on real projects and gain practical industry skills. We will help you through the transition, bridging the gap between your education and career.

As part of the Process Engineeringteam you will work alongside leading industry professionals in the Hydrometallurgy and Pyrometallurgy field to guide the development of process engineering deliverables. You will assist to develop solutions across various systems, unit operations and process equipment.

You bring to the role:

You will be working towardsa bachelors/masters degree in ChemicalEngineering, ideally in your third year (or later) of study, with a strong academic record.Candidates will haveexceptional communication and interpersonal skills and will be collaborators with the ability to think laterally and innovatively to solve problems. You will also have an interest in exploring a future with a global consulting company and are committed to creating positive change.

The 12-week program commences on Monday, 23 Nov 2026. Please note, during this time Hatch will have its annual office closure from COB Friday, 18 December 2026 and will reopen Monday, 4 January 2027.
