Job summary

M&S Fabrications is seeking 1st class boilermakers/welders to join our Thornton workshop. Casual or full-time roles available in a diverse range of steel fabrication projects in the Hunter region. Experience with MIG welding, reading drawings, and a strong commitment to safety and quality is essential.

Applicants should be reliable, able to work with minimal supervision, and adept at prioritising tasks within a small team while upholding high workmanship standards.

Qualifications

• Reliable with strong MIG welding capabilities (weld test required)
• Advanced welding experience to AS1554.1 & ASME IX
• Ability to read and interpret ISO plans and drawings
• Ability to work with minimum supervision
• Time management and prioritisation of competing demands
• Commitment to safety and quality
• General Construction Induction (White Card)

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG welding to AS1554.1 & ASME IX specifications
• Work within a small workshop team in Thornton
• Maintain high standards of safety and quality on all welds
• Read and interpret ISO plans and drawings to guide fabrication
• Prioritise workload and manage time effectively

We are seeking 1st class boilermakers /welders to join our team. This can be a casual or fulltime position, mainly located in a workshop in Thornton. We work in a wide range of industries, giving a diverse workload.

M&S Fabrications is a fabrication company specializing in light to heavy steel fabrication in the Hunter region. With 30 years experience in the industry we have a strong client base.

To be successful in this role, you must have:

• Reliable
• Have strong MIG welding capabilities (weld test required as part of interview process)
• Advanced welding experience to AS1554.1 & ASME IX
• Ability to maintain high work standards with minimum supervision
• Time management and ability to prioritize competing demands
• Ability to problem solve and take pride in their work.
• Ability to read and interpret ISO plans and drawings
• Can manage working within a small work team.
• Have a strong commitment to safety and quality
