Job summary

Zinfra Group is seeking a Pipeline Operator Technician to join our Queensland Gas Pipeline (QGP) operations team. This on-site role supports maintenance of gas transmission infrastructure across pipelines, compressor stations and instrumentation networks.

You will work a 14 days on / 14 days off roster, with accommodation provided and opportunities to gain experience across a diverse asset base. FIFO/DIDO and local candidates are welcome.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician is essential.
• Certificate III or IV in Instrumentation & Control is essential.
• Current QLD Electrical Licence is essential.

Responsibilities

• Perform planned and corrective maintenance across pipeline facilities and compressor stations.
• Diagnose faults and troubleshoot electrical, instrumentation, and mechanical equipment.
• Maintain and operate compressors, turbines, valves, meters, and associated assets.
• Conduct pipeline patrols, inspections, and asset surveillance activities.
• Respond to breakdowns, incidents, and emergency situations.
• Support commissioning, construction, and asset improvement projects.
