SPC Global Pty Ltd is seeking casual production operators for the 2027 harvest season at our Shepparton site in Victoria. Roles involve inspecting, sorting and trimming fruit, operating manual and automated machinery, and handling products across 6:00am to 2:30pm, 2:30pm to 11:00pm, or 10:30pm to 6:30am shifts.

Work is seasonal, with times varying by crop and site needs. Casual operators may be asked to adapt to different tasks, including potential forklift work, quality control, and routine

Qualificações

• Experience in handling fruit processing or similar manufacturing environment.
• Ability to stand long periods and perform repetitive tasks.
• Willingness to work across day, afternoon and night shifts.

SPC CASUAL PRODUCTION OPERATORS 2027 HARVEST SEASON

SPC is an iconic food manufacturer with a 100-year commitment to playing a positive role in the Australian economy and manufacturing industry. Our manufacturing and distribution site is located in Shepparton in Victoria’s beautiful Goulburn Valley region.

Each year SPC offers a number of Casual Production Operator roles during the peak fruit processing season. The availability and duration of the work is dictated by crop harvests, which means there may be times when the work is plentiful and also times when there may be fewer shifts, however, when rostered on, employees are required to work 8-hour shifts and this can at times be up to 7 days a week in the peak of the season.

Once the recruitment process has been completed work will commence immediately!!!!

Our shifts include:

• Day Shift (6:00am – 2:30pm)
• Afternoon Shift (2:30pm – 11:00pm)
• Night Shift (10:30pm – 6:30am)

There are more work opportunities if you are available across 3 all shifts, you can select your preferred shift through your application.

Casual Seasonal Production Operator employment includes a wide variety of roles and some of the work you may be asked to do includes:

• Inspecting, sorting and trimming fruit by hand
• Operating manual and automatic machinery
• Lifting, pushing and pulling product in containers, pallets or bins
• Cleaning machinery by hand or pressure hose using food grade cleaning agents
• Performing laboratory and quality control work
• Suitably qualified people may operate forklifts or complex processing equipment

Other points for you to consider are:

• You may be required to stand for long periods of time and complete repetitive work
• Some people have experienced motion sickness when working in the inspection, sorting and trimming areas, travel sickness medication is recommended for this
• The casual work we offer is seasonal and dependent on crops and site conditions, which include weather and production needs. Due to the nature of this and our business, candidates may not be guaranteed a commencement or volume of work.
• It is summer and it gets quite hot with the cookers preserving the fruit (SPC caters for these hot conditions by providing electrolytes, extra breaks and industrial fans)

• Face-to-face Induction

All employees are required to provide evidence of your right to work in Australia ( Photo ID, evidence of Australian Residency, Citizenship or Passport with Visa details permitting you to work in Australia).
