Job summary

Aretum is seeking a Visual Information Specialist to produce brand‑compliant visuals for proposals, executive presentations, and marketing materials. You will translate complex concepts into clear visuals for Federal evaluators and internal stakeholders, supporting EST‑aligned hours and occasional in‑person work.

The ideal candidate is junior‑to‑mid‑level with a strong portfolio and the ability to manage multiple priorities while growing expertise in GovCon graphics and corporate communications.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of professional design experience.

Responsibilities

• Create proposal graphics, process flows, infographics, roadmaps, timelines, diagrams, org charts, and architecture visuals.
• Develop polished PowerPoint presentations and briefing materials for reviews and leadership meetings.
• Design capability statements, one‑pagers, fact sheets, event graphics, newsletters, and marketing collateral.
• Create graphics for websites, blogs, email campaigns, LinkedIn content, and light multimedia needs.
• Support visual updates, formatting, file preparation, and production tasks for proposals and events.
• Maintain visual consistency with brand standards and stakeholder direction.
• Organize design files, assets, templates, icons to improve production efficiency.
• Conduct quality reviews, incorporate feedback, and deliver polished final files.

Job description

Aretum is seeking a Visual Information Specialist to provide hands‑on creative production support to the Marketing and Design Manager, Proposal & Growth Team, and internal stakeholders. This role will develop polished, brand‑compliant visual materials for proposals, executive presentations, marketing campaigns, digital content, and events while providing EST‑aligned availability and occasional in‑person support. The ideal candidate is a junior‑to‑mid‑level designer who can manage multiple priorities, translate complex concepts into clear visual communications, and grow deeper expertise in GovCon proposal graphics, visual storytelling, and corporate communications.

Due to the nature of our work as a federal consulting organization, employees may be expected to handle Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) and must adhere to applicable safeguarding and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Create proposal graphics, process flows, infographics, roadmaps, timelines, concept‑of‑operations diagrams, network diagrams, organizational charts, architecture visuals, and analytical displays that simplify complex information for Federal evaluators and decision‑makers.
• Develop polished PowerPoint presentations and briefing materials for capture reviews, color team reviews, customer meetings, corporate leadership discussions, and senior stakeholder audiences.
• Design capability statements, one‑pagers, fact sheets, trade show materials, recruitment campaign assets, newsletters, event graphics, social media content, and other branded collateral.
• Create graphics for websites, blogs, email campaigns, LinkedIn content, and light multimedia needs while staying current with design trends, AI‑assisted design tools, and GovCon marketing best practices.
• Support visual updates, formatting, file preparation, and production tasks for proposals, executive briefings, marketing campaigns, internal communications, and in‑person or virtual events.
• Maintain visual consistency across materials and ensure all work aligns with Aretum brand standards and stakeholder direction.
• Organize design files, reusable assets, templates, icons, and graphic resources to improve consistency and production efficiency.
• Conduct quality reviews, incorporate stakeholder feedback, and deliver accurate, polished final files under tight deadlines.
• Partner with internal stakeholders to advise on visual hierarchy, presentation quality, and effective visual storytelling.

• Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Communications, Marketing, Fine Arts, or a related field.
• Two (2) to four (4) years of professional design experience.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud and Microsoft PowerPoint.
• Demonstrated ability to create clean, accurate, and brand‑consistent designs across print, digital, and presentation formats.
• Portfolio demonstrating experience with visual design, layout, presentations, infographics, digital content, or marketing collateral.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple assignments, priorities, and deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently while producing polished visual materials with appropriate direction.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting proposals, business development, government contracting, technology, consulting, or mission‑focused organizations.
• Familiarity with Section 508 accessibility considerations.
• Experience with Figma, Canva, Visio, or AI‑assisted design tools.
• Ability to support occasional in‑person events or marketing needs in the McLean, VA area and work primarily within EST‑aligned business hours.
• Strong visual storytelling, collaboration, adaptability, time management, prioritization, and consultative design skills.
• Interest in growing into more advanced proposal graphics, visual storytelling, and corporate communications support.

Travel Requirements

Travel requirements will be based on company, event, and business needs.

• Salary Range: $55,000–$65,000 annually. Final compensation will be determined based on factors including education, experience, qualifications, skills, and applicable contract requirements.
