Universität Wien invites applications for a University assistant predoctoral under a Completion contract. The role is 30 hours per week in the Philosophy faculty, with a focus on completing the doctoral dissertation and contributing to departmental activities.

The Doctoral School provides structured training and aims to attract excellent students from worldwide, guiding them toward research leadership in philosophy. The position runs for 12 months with a praedoc contract.

The Vienna Doctoral School of Philosophy (https://vd-philosophy.univie.ac.at/ ) provides a cutting-edge scientific training for doctoral candidates in all fields of philosophical studies. It aims at attracting excellent students from all over the world and guides them towards research at the forefront of philosophical studies in a vibrant and dynamic community in the heart of Europe.

The Doctoral School offers a 12-months Completion Contract for fellows of the DocSchool. This Completion Contract aims to support a highly qualified fellow in the final phase of the doctoral studies. The recipient will be employed as University Assistants (praedoc) and will work at the Department of Philosophy.

You actively participate in research, which means:

• Your main task is to complete and to submit your dissertation.
• You meet and consult with your supervisor(s) on a regular basis in order to priorities your tasks and get the necessary support to complete your dissertation successfully in time.
• You participate in your department's and the Doctoral School activities and workshops.
• You participate in conferences and publish research results in peer-reviewed journals.
