Position: University Assistant (Praedoc) – 30 hours per week, 3‑year contract with the option to extend for a further year. Faculty of Business, Economics and Statistics – Department of Statistics and Operations Research.
The successful applicant will be admitted to the Ph.D. program and will work on the development and analysis of statistical methods for machine learning, especially high‑dimensional models and methods such as jackknife and conformal inference. You will also gain teaching experience in the Department’s Bachelor and Master programmes (teaching governed by the collective bargaining agreement).
The employment duration is 3 years, automatically extended to 3 years if not terminated within the first 12 months. With appropriate progress, extension to a maximum of 4 years is possible.
