Zusammenfassung

University of Veterinary Medicine Vienna invites applications for a First Stage Researcher (R1) in Veterinary Anaesthesia. The role combines clinical anaesthesia work with night and emergency duties and independent doctoral research.

The successful candidate will expand skills in diagnosis and therapy in anaesthesia and intensive care, participate in training programmes, and assist with teaching and admin tasks, under a 40-hour workweek at the Vienna campus.

Qualifikationen

• Completed studies in veterinary medicine (diploma programme or Bachelor's+Master's degree with 300 ECTS).
• Good command of German (C1).
• Average knowledge of English (B1).

Aufgaben

• Specialisation in anaesthesiology and perioperative intensive care medicine
• Participation in clinical work, night and emergency service/on-call duty
• Expansion of veterinary skills in diagnosis and therapy in anaesthesia and intensive care
• Independent research activities as part of a doctoral thesis
• Participation in internal and external training programmes
• Co‑organising and holding clinical courses in accordance with the KV
• Assistance with general teaching, organisational and administrative tasks
