Job summary

Anton Paar is seeking an experienced Senior Firmware Engineer (f/m/x) to lead a firmware team from day one within the Firmware Platform group. You will stay hands-on in firmware development while organizing the team and delivering value in an agile Scrum environment.

Responsibilities include mentoring a small firmware team, owning the backlog by structuring requirements and prioritizing work, developing reusable C/C++ components, guiding architecture, and translating requirements into concrete

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Embedded Systems, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
• Several years of experience developing embedded firmware for microcontrollers with emphasis on abstraction, clean interfaces and testable software architectures
• Strong programming skills in C, C++, RTOS concepts, and Python
• Proven ability to work independently, take ownership and drive tasks to completion
• Collaborative team player with excellent communication and responsibility for shared goals

We are looking for an experienced professional to join us as a Senior Firmware Engineer (f/m/x) and take on the role of Team Lead from day one. As part of our Firmware Platform team, you will develop the technological foundation that powers Anton Paar's instrument teams. In addition to remaining hands-on in firmware development, you will be responsible for team organization, backlog management, and ensuring the timely delivery of work in an agile Scrum environment.
