A state cultural institution is seeking a Supervisor for Inventory Services to lead the efficient operation of client file and box storage. Museums of History NSW brings together a portfolio of iconic museums, rich collections and heritage sites, the nation’s oldest archive collection, vital recordkeeping services and expert staff. Through the State Archives Collection, we manage NSW’s official documentary heritage, supporting government transparency and the public’s right to access information.

Museums of History NSW is a state cultural institution, established under the Museums of History NSW Act 2022. It is an agency of the NSW Department of Creative Industries, Tourism, Hospitality and Sport (DCITHS).
This role will oversee all Inventory and Storage of MHNSW’s Government Records Repository (GRR) clients’ files and boxes. The role is additionally responsible for supporting internal services to continually improve underlying systems and processes to enable the GRR to operate at maximum efficiency in order to meet stakeholder and regulatory requirements.

To apply you will need to submit the following:
1. Provide an example that demonstrates your experience in supporting accurate and time‑critical operational functions across a multi‑site commercial operation—preferably within or for government. Your example should show how you have led a team of 10 or more staff while ensuring operational KPIs, including data accuracy and physical inventory integrity, were consistently maintained in a fast‑paced environment with complex and competing priorities.
2. Describe a time when you had to resolve a complex warehousing or operational staffing issue that involved multiple stakeholders across different business areas. Explain how you approached the problem, the controls or strategies you used to manage it, and the outcomes you achieved, particularly in improving efficiency and business processes.
