Job summary

TGW Logistics coordinates the commissioning and testing of our systems at customers’ sites, ensuring a smooth handover to the IT department.

You will lead commissioning teams, plan and organize tests with project management, and ensure readiness of personnel, materials, hardware, and infrastructure, including cross-functional interfaces with IT, electrical, and mechanical teams.

Qualifications

• Technical training in electrical engineering or automation.
• Experience in control system commissioning or test coordination.
• Basic knowledge of control engineering and material flow.
• Structured, solution-oriented mindset and strong coordination.
• Fluent German and English; valid Class B license; willingness to travel internationally.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate commissioning teams and all testing at customer sites.
• Plan functional and performance tests with project management.
• Ensure readiness with personnel, materials, hardware, software.
• Coordinate interfaces between commissioning, electrical, mechanical, IT, customers.
• Handoff from electrical to controls and to IT.
• Provide regular progress reports, risks, issues, and escalation.

Job description

As a Supervisor Controls, you will coordinate the commissioning and testing of our systems at our customers' sites and ensure that everything runs smoothly until the systems are handed over to the IT department.

What you'll be handling:

• Coordinating the commissioning teams and all Controls testing activities at our customers’ sites
• Planning and organizing functional, performance, and project-specific tests in collaboration with Controls project management
• Ensuring readiness for testing in terms of personnel, materials, hardware, software, and infrastructure
• Coordinating interfaces between commissioning, electrical installation, mechanical engineering, IT, customers, and other project stakeholders
• Coordinating structured handoffs from electrical installation to Controls commissioning and from commissioning to IT
• Providing ongoing reporting on test progress, open issues, risks, and deviations, as well as early escalation of critical issues

What you'll need:

• Completed technical training, ideally in electrical engineering, automation technology, mechatronics, or a comparable field
• Professional experience in control system commissioning, test coordination, or the implementation of automated systems
• Basic knowledge of control engineering, material flow, and the processes involved in system implementation
• A structured, solution-oriented approach to work, as well as strong organizational and coordination skills
• Strong communication skills, assertiveness, and a confident demeanor when interacting with various project stakeholders
• Good command of German and English, a Class B driver’s license, and a strong willingness to travel internationally

We offer an attractive salary in line with the market, which can be above the collective agreement depending on qualifications and experience. The minimum gross basic salary based on full-time employment per year is 48.347 Euro. Expenses allowances and allowances are paid additionally depending on the extent of the travel activity.
