Job summary

Boyden is seeking a hands-on Finance Director for an Austrian bank, part of an international financial services group. The role reports to the Management Board and focuses on independent financial oversight to support strategic decisions.

The successful candidate will oversee accounting, regulatory reporting, and financial control, with a strong emphasis on capital, liquidity, and balance sheet management. Extensive banking expertise and cross‑border collaboration are required.

Qualifications

• Fluent in English, written and spoken.
• German language skills are advantageous for regional collaboration.
• Extensive leadership in finance, accounting, regulatory reporting and controls.

Responsibilities

• Lead Accounting, Regulatory Reporting and Financial Control as an integrated function.
• Provide independent financial advice to the Management Board and challenge commercial assumptions.
• Oversee financial closing, statutory statements and IFRS/UGB compliance.
• Coordinate external audits, tax compliance and supervisory reporting.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and management reporting, analyse profitability by line.
