Job summary

UNOOSA in Vienna, Austria seeks an Associate Programme Management Officer to support coordination and management of capacity-building projects within the Space Applications Section. You will assist with organizational, communication, logistical, administrative, and financial aspects, while supporting partnership development and resource mobilization.

Qualifications

• Advanced university degree in a relevant field is required; a first-level degree with additional qualifying experience may be accepted.
• Experience in programme management, planning, budgeting, or partnership development is desirable.
• Experience with UN systems or international organizations is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage capacity-building projects across organizational, communication, logistical, administrative, and financial elements.
• Identify and resolve project issues, liaise with stakeholders, and monitor progress to ensure timely delivery.
• Support partnership development and resource mobilization by identifying funding sources and assisting in proposals and negotiations.
• Plan and execute conferences, workshops, and training sessions, including documentation preparation.
• Participate in field missions, guide consultants, and draft mission reports; collect and analyze data for decision-making.
