Genetec in Vienna is hiring for an engineering role focused on cloud-based services and AI-powered capabilities. You will build and evolve hybrid solutions connecting Genetec’s on‑premises and SaaS products, primarily with .NET or Go, and contribute to data pipelines, search, analytics, and investigation workflows.

You will collaborate across product, UX, QA, security, AI, and other teams, shaping architecture, testing, and production operations while participating in on-call incident responses.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and evolve hybrid solutions that connect Genetec’s on-premises and SaaS products.

• Work with Product, UX, QA, Security, AI, and other engineering teams to shape solutions and deliver customer value.
• Contribute to architecture, technical design, testing, CI/CD, observability, and production operations.
• Participate in paid on-call and incident response.
• Share knowledge and contribute to an innovative engineering culture.

What you bring

• Strong professional experience with either Go or C#/.NET. and willingness to apply both on the long run.
• Experience designing and building APIs and production software.
• Strong SQL and data-modellingskills.
• Experience writing maintainable, tested code and participating in code reviews.
• Familiarity with standard development practices including Git and CI/CD.
• A pragmatic problem-solving mindset and the ability to work independently.
• Professional proficiency in spoken and written English.
• An interest in building products that solve complex customer problems.

• Experience with Azure or another cloud platform.
• Experience with hybrid, distributed, or on-premises systems.
• Experience with data pipelines, search, analytics, or large-scale integrations.
• Experience productionizing AI or ML models.
• Familiarity with containers, infrastructure as code, security engineering, or observability.
• Experience with security, video, or other data-intensive enterprise products.
• React and TypeScript experience. Frontend development is optional for this role.

The salary range for this position is above the collective agreement and, depending on training, qualifications, and professional experience, starts from EUR 55,000.00 gross annually.
