Genetec is hiring a Golang Developer to join our team and help build a cloud-based work management solution. You will design and implement scalable backend services in Golang, running in Kubernetes on Azure, with opportunities to contribute to .NET-based services when helpful. You will collaborate with a diverse, international team and participate in Kanban processes to continuously improve the product.

For our latest product, an innovative cloud-based work management solution, we are looking for game-changers, big thinkers, and doers who are ready to join our journey as a Golang Developer. We are a passionate and entrepreneurial group ofsoftware enthusiasts, aiming to revolutionize work and resource management. Our new solution is taking us beyond Genetec’s core market, allowing us to delve deeper into our customer operations. With the success of our solution we will start our Alarm Management initiative for Security Center SaaS. Experience with .NET is welcome, but not required.

What your day will look like

• Build scalable, stateless cloud architectures with the latest techniques like Kubernetes, Terraform, and Docker
• Design and work on improvements in our product running in Microsoft Azure, with the plan to go to other cloud providers
• Work closely with the broader development team, customers, and other stakeholders to ensure constant team alignment and continuous improvement
• Take part in conception, implementation, and pragmatic documentation within a Kanban process model
• Help shape the company's stack with a strong focus on Golang, while optionally contributing to existing .NET-based services where helpful
• Propose relevant analyses and conceptions to tackle challenging problems
• Take part in ongoing code reviews and other quality-improving activities

About you

• You haveseveral years of experience as a developer, ideally with strong knowledge of Golang and cloud-native backend development
• Experience with .NET, C#, ASP.NET, Entity Framework, or SQL Server is a plus, and you are open to working across technologies when needed
• You have a problem-solving attitude and don’t just focus on writing code, but on tackling complex problems and determining how to solve them best

• You write quality code with special attention to our practices regarding source management, unit testing, and code reviews

The salary range for this position is above the collective agreement and, depending on training, qualifications, and professional experience, starts from EUR 50,000.00 gross annually.
