Zusammenfassung

softwareXperts GmbH is seeking a Software Developer Mainframe for a well-known IT service provider in Vienna. You will take over analysis, design, and development of securities back office components, drafting specifications and documentation, and advising customer departments.

On-site 1x per week, immediate start, full-time. Requirements include several years of COBOL/DB2 experience, familiarity with Natural/Adabas or willingness to learn, and English fluency with basic German preferred.

Qualifikationen

• Several years of working experience with COBOL and DB2.
• Familiarity with Natural or Adabas, or willingness to learn.
• Knowledge of banking domain and securities products is a plus.
• Understanding of the application lifecycle: planning, requirements, implementation and operation.
• Excellent people skills and ability to work with clients.

Your Tasks

• Take over the responsibility for analysis, design, development and maintenance of software components for the securities back office
• Write functional and technical specifications as well as software documentation
• Advise the organizational and specialist departments of our customers
• Operational support in daily business

Requirements

• Several years of working experience with COBOL / DB2
• A familiarity with Natural / Adabas or a strong will to learn it
• Ideally have some knowledge of banking and the domain securities business and products (e.g. securities, bonds)
• You are aware of the application lifecycle (planning, requirements analysis, implementation, operation)
• Ability to work well with people and quickly establish good working relationship with clients
• Fluency in English, basic knowledge of German would be preferred
