A major Austrian university is seeking a University Assistant Prae-Doc for their THz Electronics group. The role focuses on research into terahertz technology, publishing papers, and supporting teaching activities. Candidates should have an MSc in Electrical Engineering or Physics, as well as experience in high-frequency electrical engineering. At the Institute of Electrodynamics, Microwave and Circuit Engineering in the Research Unit of Microwave and THz Electronics TU Wien is offering a position as university assistant prae-doc (all genders) limited expected to 4 years for 30 hours/week. Expected start: immediately.
The focus of the THz‑Electronics group is the investigation of THz sources, detectors, and systems, with a special emphasis on the investigation of resonant‑tunnelling diodes (RTDs) and THz sources based on them. Web page of the group: https://www.tuwien.at/en/etit/e354/thz

Entry level salary is determined by the pay grade B1 of the Austrian collective agreement for university staff. This is a minimum of currently EUR 2,786.10/month gross, 14 times/year for 30 hours/week. Relevant working experiences may increase the monthly income.
