About the role

We are seeking a talented and experienced on site Project Manager to join our team at Murchison Mining Services based on site at the BHP Carrapateena mine site, situated within South Australia.

This full-time role is an integral part of our Projects Mining Services Contract, where you will be responsible for overseeing the Projects and CVD Maintenance Crews, with their roles whilst undertaking the Carrapateena Mine's Infrastructure Installation, Repair and Maintenance as directed by the Client's Managers and Contractors.

What you'll be doing

The Project Manager will be responsible for the daily management of MMS’s onsite Personnel, machinery and client relations and reporting for and on behalf of the Companies mine service contract within the Carrapateena Mine Site owned and operated by BHP.

Your role will be to develop and maintain a strong focus on engagement with the Clients onsite personnel with detailed attention to reporting schedules, site and team management meetings, whilst upholding and maintaining the company values and expectations during the mine service contract period.

You will be expected to liaise closely with the company's senior management teams in particular the HSEQ, HR, Training and Onboarding Personnel to deliver safe and effective outcomes for your site's projects and the service crews.

You will be expected to deliver outcome based mine site service delivery targets and standards by managing MMS onsite personnel, utilising company-based risk mitigation strategies and other miscellaneous tasks within their area of responsibility.

What we're looking for

1. An experienced Project Manager or site supervisor with 5 years' relevant experience in the construction & underground mining industry.
2. Demonstrated background in Project Management and Supervision with a strong preference for those applicants with an Underground Mining based experience.
3. Preference will be given to applicants with Cert 4 Business Management or AIM equivalent plus Mining S26 Supervision course.
4. Deep understanding and knowledge of WA Mining rules and regulations.
5. Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
6. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality management.
7. Current driver's license and ability to work in a team environment.
