We currently have 3 active projects on the Gold Coast and 1 in North Brisbane, totalling 305 townhouses in the pipeline. To support our continued growth, we are seeking a Site Manager to join our passionate team.
About the Role
As the Site Manager, you will be the single point of contact on‑site, with full responsibility for the day‑to‑day management, coordination, and successful delivery of this complex residential project. You will lead and manage all on‑site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers. Reporting directly to senior leadership, your role will be critical in ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget—without compromising on quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Oversight: Supervise all aspects of construction project from inception to completion, including planning, coordinating, and monitoring work of construction teams to ensure the project goals are met.
- Overall Project Leadership: Direct all on‑site construction activities in accordance with project plans, specifications, and schedules.
- Team & Subcontractor Management: Lead, supervise, and coordinate all subcontractors, trades, and on‑site staff. Foster a collaborative and productive team environment.
- Schedule & Budget Adherence: Develop and maintain detailed short‑interval schedules. Monitor project costs to ensure the project is delivered on time and within budget.
- Quality Control: Enforce strict quality standards and ensure all work complies with building codes, regulations, and architectural plans.
- Health & Safety: Champion a culture of safety. Implement and enforce the project’s Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) plan, ensuring a zero‑accident environment.
- Reporting & Communication: Provide daily and weekly progress reports to the Project Director/Management. Serve as the primary liaison with clients, engineers, architects, and local authorities.
- Problem Solving: Proactively identify and resolve issues related to design, materials, and construction methods swiftly and effectively.
- Documentation Management: Maintain accurate and comprehensive site records, including daily logs, inspection requests, and RFI (Request for Information) logs.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum of 7‑10+ years of experience in residential construction, with a proven track record.
- Strong background in townhouse or multi‑dwelling residential projects.
- Must have prior experience successfully managing a multi‑unit residential project townhouse of a similar scale (80+ units).
- In-depth knowledge of carpentry, construction means, methods, and building codes.
- Strong financial acumen and experience with project budgeting and cost control.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency with construction management software (e.g. Procore, MS Project, Data Build or Onsite Companion) is a plus.
